ADULT CLASSES

Fall 2025

Ready to sweeten up your routine? Dive into a new hobby or level up a skill? Adult classes at the Jones Center provide opportunities to learn, grow and have a blast.

This fall we are offering 18 fun and challenging classes for adults in seven different categories.
Classes are offered in three sessions. Session dates are:

Session 1 - Sept. 2 – Oct. 13
Session 2 - Oct. 14 – Nov. 24
Mini-Session 3 - Dec. 1 – Dec. 29

Please note: class options vary each session. Sessions 1 and 2 are six weeks long. The mini-session is 3 weeks long. Most classes are once per week- but there are a few exceptions!

DANCE CLASSES

Adult Ballet Level 1
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Monday 5:45-6:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Beginners who have little or no experience will learn the basic principles of classical ballet,
including 5 positions
of arms and legs, 7 basic movements, alignment, posture, balance, and musicality.
Ballet slippers required

Adult Ballet Level 2
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Monday 6:45-7:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Intermediate dancers with some training in classical ballet who want to progress by improving
technique, muscle memory, and center combinations. This class will improve posture, alignment,
balance, flexibility, musicality, and coordination.
Ballet slippers required

Adult Ballet Level 3
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Monday 7:45-8:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
For experienced dancers who have mastered full barre, small and large jumps, and pirouette turns. Since this is recreational ballet and not performance-based, dancers may modify exercises to suit their strength and body type. If you haven’t danced for many years, you can work up to the hard stuff! This class improves posture, alignment, balance, flexibility, and coordination.

Adult Tap & Jazz
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Thursday 6:45-7:45pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Tap shoes on and jazz hands ready? This beginner class will take students through the basics of both tap and jazz dancing, from shuffles to jazz squares and more!

COMEDY CLASSES

Improv Comedy Level 1
Ages:
18+ (due to potential adult content)
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Thursday 5:50-6:50pm
Cost: $60/$48 members 
Improv isn’t just for aspiring comedians. Whether you’re perfecting your standup routine or polishing your public
speaking skills, the benefits of improv are universal. This class introduces students to the fundamental concept of
“Yes, and” in improvisation. Through group games and exercise, students will explore impulse,
spontaneity, listening, being present in the moment and other basic building blocks of improv

Improv Comedy Level 2
Ages:
18+ (due to potential adult content)
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Thursday 7-8:30pm
Cost: $60/$48 members 
You’ve mastered Yes and but what's next?  This class introduces students to concepts like status,
advanced relationships, and character work.  Through group games and exercise, students will build on the
foundational skills they have learned in Level One to move past short form games and dig deeper
into the art of Improvisation. 

LEARN TO SKATE CLASSES

Adult Learn to Skate
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Tuesday 10:30-11am or Thursday 6-6:30pm
Cost: $67 members/$84 public
Adult Learn to Skate is great for beginners and skaters with some experience. Ice skating is a great
way to stay active and learn something new! Our evening adult classes run at the same time as
our kids learn to skate classes, so bring the entire family.

LEARN TO SWIM CLASSES

Level 1
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Monday 5:30-6:20pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Level One focuses on helping adults become comfortable in the water and learn basic water safety.
Participants will work on putting their face in the water, blowing bubbles and understanding buoyancy
and floating.

Level 2
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Monday 6:30-7:20pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Level Two is for individuals who are comfortable in the water and ready to focus on more advanced
swimming techniques in deeper water. This level emphasizes basic swimming skills such as learning
to swim, float, glide and kick. Level Two is for individuals who are comfortable in the water and ready

Level 3
Ages: 16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Monday 7:30-8:20pm
Cost: $48 members/$60 public
Level Three is for swimmers who are comfortable in deep water and can perform basic swim techniques such as swimming, floating and gliding. This class is designed for those ready to progress to side breathing and swim stroke development.

PICKLEBALL CLASSES

Intro to Pickleball
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13), Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Tuesday 5:30-7pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Want to dive into the fastest growing sport in America? Certified Pickleball coach Scott Bartlett covers
the basics including rules, areas of the court and techniques for hitting the perfect shot.
Gain the skill and confidence you need to serve up some fun!

Level 2

Times: Thursday 5:30-7pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Build on your fundamental skills with certified Pickleball coach Scott Bartlett. learned in Intro to
Pickleball. Learn how to place the ball on the court, improve your swing and learn to avoid stepping into the "kitchen” the
players non-volley zone.

ARTS & CULTURE CLASSES

Frosting Masters
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 1 (Sept. 2 – Oct. 13)
Times: Thursday 5:30-7pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Whip up your culinary skills in this hands-on class! Learn techniques for making different types of frosting and
decorating your favorite desserts. This class requires 10-30 minutes of prep per week outside of class time. 

Embroidery for Beginners
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Monday 6-7pm
Cost: $60 members/$75 public
In this class, students will learn a variety of embroidery techniques like the chain stitch, French knot, and
backstitch. By the end of the 6 weeks, they will have the skills they need to create beautiful, hand-stitched
works of art.

Painting for Beginners
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 2 (Oct.14 – Nov. 24)
Times: Tuesday 6-7:30pm
Cost: $72 members/$90 public
Let's paint! Students will learn a variety of techniques- from brushstrokes to color choices- in order to make a painted masterpiece! Students will get creative as they gain confidence in their painting skills.
All supplies provided

Mix n’ Make
Ages:
16+
Offered: Session 3 (Dec. 1 – Dec. 29)
Times: Tuesday 5:45-6:45pm
Cost: $60 members/$75 public
Do you love to get crafty and creative? Join us for Mix n' Make, an art class where you'll use various materials and mediums to create collaborative collages of art. From projects like paper mosaics to sculpture building using "found" objects, there's something unique for everyone!
